The current "rockstar" of the economics world, Thomas Piketty, has been in South Africa. Professor Piketty rose to prominence a few years ago with the publishing of his book Capital in the 21st Century.

Specialising in wealth and inequality - and a proponent of a wealth tax - many in South Africa were keen to hear his views about the continent.

The 蜜芽传媒's Alastair Leithead sat down with Professor Piketty and asked him to elaborate on his theory.
