Bernie Ecclestone backs Sepp Blatter
Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone says Sepp Blatter should remain in charge of FIFA despite facing corruption charges.
ѿý Formula 1 correspondent James Allen, who has heard the comments Ecclestone made on Russian television, said the conversation started out talking about F1 but Ecclestone went on to say that he didn’t think Blatter should have stepped down.
Allen added that Ecclestone went on to talk about the United States ahead of next weekend’s grand prix in Texas. "They're a big island and a bit isolated,” Allen reported Ecclestone as saying. “They’re slowing starting to learn what other people in the world do."
