Neville: You don't realise how much the FA Cup means
Salford City joint-owner Phil Neville said his team have been handed a 'perfect draw' after they found out their opponents in the FA Cup first round would be League Two Notts County.
The club, who are part-owned by former Manchester United players Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Gary and Phil Neville, have reached the first round proper for the first time in their history.
Neville said, "You don't realise how much the FA Cup means, last year we said to the managers to concentrate on the league and forget the cup, and they fell out with us."
As well as playing higher calibre opposition, three-time FA Cup winner Neville said the Northern Premier League side's players have been told they can let their hair down.
"From Saturday's win bonus they can go on a good night out - they haven't got a game next week", said Neville.
