Mourinho: Chelsea players are with me
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says he has the backing of his team despite their League Cup penalty defeat at Stoke.
Mourinho has been under heavy media scrutiny following Chelsea's poor start to the season.
Speaking to ѿý Radio 5 live's Rob Nothman, he said, "I don't have a reason to not be proud with myself and with the players. If some people like to say that the players are not with me, watch this game, and you'll know that they are with me or they are not with me".
Despite playing against ten men for the entire extra-time period, Chelsea could not find a winning goal. Eden Hazard missed the decisive spot-kick for the Blues.
However, Mourinho was happy with his side's performance.
"We played very well. If I compare this game to the game at Stoke last year - last year we won 2-0, this year we played so much better," he said.
