Insurance premium tax rise
From 1 November Insurance Premium Tax rises from 6% to 9.5% on motor, pet, health and contents and buildings insurance.
The governments expects it to raise an extra £1.5 billion.
The Association of British Insurers believes some families will see their overall cost of insurance rise by £100 a year
