I've been selling poppies for 80 years
A 95-year-old woman has become Britain's longest-serving poppy seller after she made a promise to her father as a little girl.
Christine England started back in 1935 and still sells poppies to the houses on her street in the Devon village of High Bickington.
She told 5 live: "My dad was in the first world war and it was horrendous. He said to me 'never ever forget'." She said the demand for poppies has remained just as strong and that nobody ever refuses to buy one from her.
