Former New Zealand winger Sir John Kirwan believes two-time world cup winner Richie McCaw should retire.

When asked about the current All Blacks captain, Kirwan said: "I think he should retire. You鈥檙e going to be a legend for the rest of your life, if you hang on too long and have to get dropped, how sad would that be."

McCaw, who has won 148 caps, says he will take his time in making a decision about his future.
