Rod Stewart: Scottish Premiership needs Rangers
Rod Stewart told 5 live the rivalry between Celtic and Rangers was ' what made the Scottish League, the Scottish League.'
The singer, who's a lifelong Celtic fan, said Scottish football needed Rangers back in the Premiership.
'We need them back because we need competition and we need them back for financial reasons.'
He also backed Celtic's manager Ronny Deila and said the club needed to give him a bit more time.
'I think all managers should be allowed one bad season. But apparently that's not on the cards for any manager any more.'
He added: 'Two things you can't change, it's your mum and the football team you support.'
