'If they were tourists we would have hotels built'
Europe is currently grappling with the biggest influx of migrants fleeing conflicts and poverty since World War Two.
Thomas Eitzenberger spoke to Stephen Nolan back in September when he was at the Hungarian-Serbian border ready to transport three refugees in his own car into to EU territory.
He says that although the situation has improved slightly the conditions are 'not sufficient' particularly as the 'weather will, of course, be deteriorating' in the coming weeks.
Mr Eitzenberger is one of a group of up to 100 volunteers who organise convoys equipped with food, tents and clothing, which they supply to refugees camped out at the various international borders across central Europe.
His eyewitness account from September begins this clip.
