Mississippi sink hole 'swallows' 12 cars
Patrons of a restaurant in Mississippi thought there was an "earthquake" when a giant sink hole opened up and swallowed twelve vehicles.
The 400 feet long and 35 feet wide chasm opened up on Saturday in Meridian restaurant car park near the Alabama state line.
Wade Phillips, who is an anchor at local news station WTOK, told 5 live "the ground shook for five or six seconds" and "the lights went out" before the cars disappeared down the hole in the packed parking lot.
Mr Phillips went on to say that no one was injured as there wasn't anybody sat in their vehicle at the time the sink hole opened up.
The cause isn't of the sink hole isn't known, however the area has experienced heavy rain over the past couple of weeks.
