Some schools are heading to Jamaica to look for qualified and experienced staff as a solution for teacher shortages.
Geoff Brown, a former head teacher who runs a recruitment firm in Jamaica has said the similarities between the curriculums make them suitable teachers for English schools.
"Jamaica bases its education system on the English system...the teachers have already got the subject knowledge, the teaching and learning philosophies that match".
He added that some teachers in England are "disillusioned because of all the changes, all the bureaucracy and the pressures" and it was important to keep things "fresh" in schools.

The government says the number of people becoming teachers is at the highest level since 2008, with the number beginning postgraduate teacher training up 3 percent on last year.
