ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 live's Lesley Ashmall spoke to newly-recruited Jamaican teachers at Strood Academy in Kent who said they were having a "lovely" time in the England.

Husband and wife, Shawleen Davey-Williams and Byron Williams, said "each classroom is well-equipped with a lot of technology and resources for the students".

They also added that class sizes are much smaller "and more manageable" than they were used to in Jamaica.

The Association of School and College Leaders has told 5 Live Breakfast that schools in England are facing a "looming crisis" unless "urgent action" is taken over teacher shortages.

Education Secretary Nicky Morgan says teaching remains popular as a career, "with the highest numbers of people joining since 2008 and with 3% more people due to start postgraduate teacher training than this time last year".
