Pardew: You'd be a fool to ignore non-league
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew says clubs in the the Premier League would be 'fools' to ignore scouting players in non-league football.
Jamie Vardy, who is the current top scorer in the Premier League, arrived at Leicester City after working his way up the leagues with Stocksbridge Park Steels, Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town while Palace have former non league players Dwight Gayle and Jason Puncheon in their squad.
'You can see in Puncheon's play that desire, that love of being a professional because when you're a non-league player your ambition is to be a professional and when you get here you're not going to let it go," Pardew said.
