In South Africa, several car companies have large facilities. BMW makes about 72,000 of its 3-series models, with 42% of them exported to the US.

And in recent times the sector has had its problems, not least industrial action.

The 蜜芽传媒's Milton Nkosi sat down with BMW South Africa's managing director Tim Abbott and asked him whether the car giant could suffer from the fallout from the Volkswagen scandal.
