Parisian Aurore Gazanion says she feels safe in the city, despite the terror attacks which have left at least 127 people dead.

Speaking to 5 live's Anna Foster as she and a friend laid flowers near one of the areas attacked by terrorists, Gazanion said she will continue her life in the city as normal in defiance of the perpetrators.

"I feel safe. I'm not going to change anything because [the terrorists] want us to be afraid," she said. "I'm going to stay here. I'm still going to go to bars...see concerts and shows. I'm not going to change anything."

French President Francois Hollande says the Paris attacks "act of war" by the so-called Islamic State, which has claimed the attacks. He said the attacks, carried out by eight gunmen and suicide bombers, were "organised and planned from outside".
