The software making terrorism difficult to detect
Encryption in communication apps is making acts of terrorism near impossible to detect, as extremists can send messages that cannot be accessed by national security agencies. Will Geddes, managing director of security firm International Corporate Protection, says that events such as the Paris attacks are becoming harder to police due to social media and messaging platforms.
