There was a time when "good hair" among black women meant long and silky hair, though in the past few years that's changed. A natural hair movement has swept all the way from the US to Africa, helped along by the Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong'o and Kenya's first lady Margaret Kenyatta.
Out with the straight - in with the kinky and curly. Nigerian-American Ngozi Opara saw a business opportunity, set up manufacturing in China and the rest, as they say, is history.
