Refugee stories: from Syria to Yorkshire
The UK plans to host 20,000 Syrian refugees. We meet some of the Syrian refugees who have already arrived and are adjusting to life in Bradford in the north of England. Ayam, left, already has a job in a falafel shop, but wants to resume his medical studies.
Picture shows two of the new Syrian refugees in Bradford, Ayham and Mohammed, at an archetypically British event, Remembrance Sunday. They didn’t know about it beforehand but when it was explained that this was a service to remember those killed in war, they wanted to come and felt the relevance to their own lives.
