Wealth and poverty mapped using mobile phone data
Accurate and up-to-date data on population wealth are very important for social and economic policy making. Dr Joshua Blumenstock, associate professor at the University of Washington talks about using data on mobile phone usage to map wealthy and poor regions in Rwanda.
