Spending review analysis with OBR
Chancellor George Osborne announced this week that the Office for Budget Responsibility's forecasts for the public finances showed a significant improvement compared to their previous assessment in July.
That gave him an unexpected £27bn windfall for the Spending Review.
Robert Chote, the OBR's chairman, explains more. He is joined by writer and broadcaster Jenni Russell.
