Students make WW1 poppy memorial
Students at Herefordshire and Ludlow College’s Holme Lacy campus have been forging 150 steel poppies for a World War One memorial at Ypres.
Lecturer Pete Smith and student Katie Surridge explain why they became involved and what they got out of the experience.
The Herefordshire poppies will form part of the 2,016 poppies from a variety of countries that will feature on the memorial to the dead of all nations which is to be installed next year.
