South Africa's disabled surfer
In 2005 Daniel Nel from Cape Town was left paralysed from the waist down after a motorcycle accident. Without the use of his legs, even simple tasks became a struggle. The accident also left him unable to take part in the sport he'd loved all his life - surfing. But earlier this year, that all changed because ingenious members of the Cape Town Surf School introduced him to a new board they had been designing specially for paraplegics. For Outlook, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Mohammed Allie in Cape Town went to see Daniel take to the waves again.
