Swansea players must 'look at themselves in mirror'
Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson believes Swansea's players should take a lot of the blame for the club's position, following manager Garry Monk's sacking this week.
Lawrenson, 58, admits sympathising with Monk, adding: "I'm not saying they (the players) have downed tools but the performances just haven't been there. It feels as if there's a lot of player power here and I hope some of them can actually look at themselves in the mirror because they need to."
Daily Mail journalist Neil Ashton also feels sorry for Monk, 36, saying: "He is a workaholic and I don't think any manager in the Premier League works as hard as Garry Monk. He's been let down by his players."
