Obesity warning: Good advice or scare tactic?
Obesity is the biggest threat to women's health and the health of future generations, England's chief medical officer Dame Sally Davies has warned.
In her annual report, she said tackling obesity should be a national priority and women should be empowered to lead healthier and more active lives.
Joining Joanna, Dr Clare Gerada, former chair of the Royal College of GPs, said the UK was “walking into a public health catastrophe”.
But size acceptance campaigner Kathryn Szrodecki described the report as “deplorable”, saying dementia and Alzheimer’s disease were the bigger killers of women in the UK.
