Many people like to do their bit for charity at this time of year but mother of two Holly Smith has gone above and beyond.

She has collected £1200 worth of food using only coupons and then donated it all to the homeless.

Holly says she "loves coupons" and started a money-saving blog when she was forced to give up her job due to illness.

She suggested that sending thank you cards to companies was the key to getting companies saying, "it pays to praise".
