How an iconic photo is helping refugees
The Iraqi refugee Laith Majid Al Amirij arrived in August with his family on the Greek island of Kos. The scene was captured by the photographer Daniel Etter and became one of the best-known images of migrants entering Europe. Daniel met them again recently in Berlin and realised that one of the biggest problems they faced was learning German. He's now selling signed copies of the photo to pay for language courses for refugees.
