Race poll reaction

A mixed picture has emerged from a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ poll on race relations. It ties in with fifty years on from the first Race Relations Act of 1965. 5000 people were questioned and 43% said they think racism has increased in the last two years. However, when asked about racism where they live, only 14% said it's a problem. The proportion of respondents was set up similarly to the racial mix of this country. DR OMAR KHAN is director of the race equality think tank, the Runnymede Trust and gives his reaction to the poll to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™s Ajmal Hussain in this interview
