Is Ed Sheeran right to quit Twitter?
The singer Ed Sheeran has announced he's "taking a break" from Twitter, saying he has been "seeing the world through a screen and not my eyes".
Josh Constine from the TechCrunch website says he can "totally understand" the decision, given the weight of expectation from Sheeran's 16 million Twitter followers.
"This is about his personal and mental health. He's spent five years having more notifications than any of us, a constant stream of people talking to him, adoring him, offering him opportunities."
Asked about the risk of getting addicted to mobile phones and social media, Constine says too much social media can "poison the mind".
"Social media and mobile phone addiction is a huge problem that people aren't talking about," he says. "Celebrities are some of the people who're most susceptible."
