Advice to Tim Peake from a man who walked on the moon
The fourth man to walk on the moon, Captain Alan Bean, says British astronaut Tim Peake's life will "change forever" when he returns from space.
The astronaut from the 1969 Apollo 12 mission gives Major Peake some advice about his time on the International Space Station. Captain Bean says his life in space felt "too long", and talks about what it was really like to walk on the moon:
"Well first of all, it's not as science fiction as you might think, because you've worked inside your space suit on Earth, and that volcanic field looks a lot like the moon, [...] on the moon all you see is a very black sky, and the sun is much brighter up there because of the lack of atmosphere. It's different, but it's not very different".
