US Fed interest rate hike piles pressure on emerging markets
The Federal Reserve, the US Central Bank, has raised interest rates by a quarter of one percent - the first time since 2006. Dean Baker, co-director of the Washington-based Centre for Economic and Policy Research, says that the emerging markets, particularly in Latin America, face a dilemma over the rise in rates.
