Is Mourinho set for quick management return?
The owner of Italian side AS Roma has met with Jose Mourinho to discuss whether he would be interested in managing the Serie A club, according to football journalist Duncan Castles.
Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea earlier in the week, while Roma, who are currently managed by Rudi Garcia are on a run of seven games without a win.
“According to my sources in the Mourinho camp he met with James Pallotta, the owner of AS Roma last night in London to discuss a possible opportunity there,” Castles said.
“Mourinho’s name has come out of leftfield and I think it’s a case of an owner of a club seeing a manager of his calibre available and wondering if he would be interested in returning to Serie A where he had great success with Inter Milan,” he added.
