Diversity and Shakespeare

Theatre casting policies are stopping African Caribbean and Asian actors from landing leading roles in some of Shakespeare’s best productions according to new research. Dr Jami Rogers from the University of Warwick looked at around 1200 productions of Shakespeare that date back as far as 1930 to trace the participation of minority ethnic performers in classical theatre. She has been speaking to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ presenter Ajmal Hussain about her work
