UK Muslim dad: US stopped my family flying to Disneyland
A British Muslim family of 11 who were due to fly to Disneyland say they were barred from boarding a flight to Los Angeles by US authorities at London’s Gatwick airport.
They claim that US Department of ѿýland Security officials have given no explanation to the family to why they were refused to board, even though they had been granted travel authorization online ahead of their planned family holiday on the 15th December.
The father of the family turned away from the flight, Mohammed Zahid Mahmood, told 5 live that it was difficult for his children to understand why they were refused permission to fly.
He said: "We were the only family that were Asian, Muslim appearance, it was embarrassing that we were the only family that were taken out. When they saw me shaking my head, the younger ones started crying, they knew straight away.”
