Singing for Syria
When words fail, music speaks. It's what a group of Syrian girls have discovered through music classes run by the International Rescue Committee in Lebanese refugee camps. Life for refugees is tough and girls can be particularly vulnerable, with parents often not allowing their daughters go to school, or even walk to the store, for fear of harassment or abuse. But music has been helping these girls to find their voices.
