From Syria to Norway as an unaccompanied child
Adib Wael was 16 years old when he fled Aleppo in Syria for Europe. He describes how people smugglers took him to the border with Turkey and told him to run and not look back. He says his blonde hair and green eyes helped his cause because he looked European. Adib Wael was the first unaccompanied minor from the confliuct in Syria given refuge in Norway.
