'Norwegian Wood book is surprise Christmas hit
A book about how to chop wood like a Norwegian has become a surprise Christmas hit. Written by Lars Mytting, it's already sold 300,000 copies and even spawned a 12-hour TV series.
As well as tips for people with wood-burning stoves, 'Norwegian Wood' also features wisdom from Lars, like "It's very, very possible to judge a man by his woodpile."
And Lars tells the story of how an elderly neighbour died, but his widow burned the logs he'd already chopped, saying, "he still gave warmth to her even though he was dead."
