Feeling blue that Christmas is over? Why not plan your summer holiday for 2016?

Sean Tipton from The Association of British Travel Agents has said that popular tourist destinations for 2016 could include places that have been widely avoided in the past including Magaluf and Iran.

He said that millions of euros are being spent in Magaluf "to attract more families and higher spending customers" and Iran has recently been "downgraded" by the Foreign Office meaning it is now safe to go.

However, despite its new status, Sean added that it was important to check Foreign Office websites before travel saying, "you might be okay to go but it's probably best if you didn't travel independently".
