'I asked to be executed for something I didn't do'

Convicted of a rape and murder he did not committ, Nick Yarris spent 23 years in solitary confinement on death row before being released without charge after DNA evidence cleared him of the crime. His story is presented in a new documentary called Fear of 13, a reference to triskaidekaphobia, one of the unfamiliar words he taught himself while in prison in a campaign to improve his vocabulary, language and education. Why was it so important to him to change the way he spoke and how does he cope with what has happened to him?
