Mazen Darwish on life as one of Syria's 'disappeared'
Human rights activist and PEN prize winner Mazen Darwish was released earlier this year after three years in a Syrian jail. For some of that time his family did not know where he was; he was one of the tens of thousands of people that international campaign groups say have disappeared without trace in the country. In his first interview since he regained his freedom, Mazen Darwish told Newshour's Owen Bennett-Jones about the circumstances of his detention and his hopes and fears for Syria.
