Dyslexic Oxford graduate 'banned' from donating sperm
An Oxford graduate has been told by the London Sperm Bank that his sperm is not suitable because of his dyslexia.
Its leaflet also listed ADHD and dispraxia as conditions it screens for. The private clinic's parent company, JD Healthcare, now says it's reviewing its policy and has denied the practice amounted to "eugenics".
Software engineer, Fred Fisher told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 live that he was shocked by the news that he had been ruled out as a donor and says he sees dyslexia as a gift.
He said: "I read the list and seen dyslexia there and literally couldn't believe my eyes. I phoned them up and asked them is this a complete rule out."
