Cromer fireworks donations raise £12,000
Thousands of people joined in the New Year's Day firework celebrations off Cromer Pier, helping to raise more than £12,000 through bucket donations.
The annual display, a highlight in the seaside town's calendar, lasted for nearly 20 minutes and drew some 10,000 people to the resort, organisers said.
Donations raised £12,366, which will go towards funding next year's fireworks, organised by Cromer Town Council, and some £7,500 in grants for local charities.
