Is this the most terrifying B&B on earth?

The owner of a B&B described as the 'most terrifying on earth' has told 5 live the "large steel box perched 80ft above the water" reminds him of his childhood tree house.

The Frying Pan Tower, perched on a 1964 US coastguard station platform, set 34 miles from the coast of North Carolina, is set right in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean's tornado alley.

Richard Neal, who bought the tower from the US Government in 2010 for $87,000, said he "was the lucky one to win of the auction" of the half-century-old platform.

The tower was abandoned in the 1970s and is only accessible by helicopter and boat, but it does have some home comforts as it features hot showers and wifi.
