Female WWII pilot's family fight for veteran status
Elaine Harmon's family are fighting for Arlington National Cemetery to accept her ashes. It does not currently accept Women Air Service Pilots (WASPs). Erin Miller is Harmon's grandaugther and is leading the campaign to have WASPs recognised fully as 'active service veterans'.
The group played a crucial role in traning WWII pilots and are seen as an inspiration to female pilots today.
