Cricket Star Chris Gayle was fined 10,000 Australian dollars for asking TV reporter Mel McClaughlin out for a drink live on-air during a Big Bash cricket match in Tasmania.

Piers Morgan defended his good friend, saying, "Certainly the newspaper environment I used to work in was full of this kind of banter and the normal reaction from woman would be, "In your dreams mate," not to go and create this kind of reaction."
