Townsend: Villa pair 'immature' and 'ignorant'
Former Aston Villa captain Andy Townsend describes Villa players Joleon Lescott and Brad Guzan as "immature" after reports their behaviour angered fans during the 1-1 FA Cup draw with Wycombe.
Villa are without a win in 16 matches and goalkeeper Guzan and defender Lescott were accused by fans of not taking the club's plight seriously while on the substitutes鈥� bench on Saturday.
Townsend says the players "have to recognise the massive commitment [the fans] are making to the club".
鈥淭here's nothing coming back for those fans at the moment other than misery,鈥� he said. 鈥淚t's immature and it shows a bit of ignorance to the situation to where the club are at".
