Oscar nominee Asif Kapadia: I fell in love with Amy
The man behind "Amy", The Oscar-nominated documentary following Amy Winehouse's decline from bright-eyed prodigy to doomed tabloid obsession told 5live's Sarah Brett that "during the film making process, he and most of his crew and team fell in love with the singer".
Asif Kapadia admitted making the film was a difficult process. He said "it was never for us to go-in and point fingers, it was just to show what was going on."
Speaking just after receiving his Academy Award nomination, Asif said he was pleased "that people who were in her life and around her, thought the film was a very honest portrayal".
