Charlie Adam: Shelvey 'a bit silly'
Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam thinks recent Newcastle United recruit Jonjo Shelvey's decision to criticise the fans of his old club was "a bit silly".
Having completed a £12m move to St James' Park, Shelvey criticised Swansea City's supporters, who he feels "jumped on his back".
But Adam, who played alongside Shelvey at Liverpool, said it "wasn't a great comment".
"There are only certain players in the world that play every game," said the Scotland international.
