The woman who Instagrammed herself moments after 'rape'
A woman who Instagrammed a picture of herself moments after she claims she was raped says that "consent can never be assumed".
Amber Amour was on a world tour promoting her 'Stop Rape. Educate' campaign after suffering previous sexual assaults. But while she was in Cape Town, she says she was lured into a shower and raped.
Asked why she told her story the way she did, she said that "it's about time the world started talking about these things, because we tend to stay so silent."
"There were details I wanted to leave out. But I decided to leave them in to prove the point that no matter what a person does, it's never their fault."
Amber also revealed that she received criticism for her decision to join the man for a shower. "Consent to a shower is not consent to sex" she said.
"The people who are saying that have the potential to commit a similar crime."
