The aid worker who brought food to starving people in Madaya
Aid worker Pawel Krzysiek was part of the convoy that brought food and medical supplies to beseiged town Madaya this week.
Krzysiek told ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ 5 live that the experience was like going on an emotional rollercoaster. He recalled how within minutes of arriving in Madaya, a 7-year-old girl came up to him and said:
''We have been waiting for you for so long, do you have food, I am so hungry'' and other residents of Madaya told him, ''the only meal we've had in the last few days was hot water with some spices in it or some cooked leaves''.
