Glen Frey was 'the face' of The Eagles
The writer Anthony De Curtis, who is a Contributing Editor with Rolling Stone Magazine, has been recalling his memories of Glen Frey from The Eagles who has died. He was 67.
De Curtis says that as with many sucessful bands, there were battles, and founder members Glen Frey and Don Henley "had their moments", but they seemed to see themselves as "they most important aspects of the band."
De Curtis says that publicly the pair were "the face" of The Eagles and there was suprise when Glen Frey left the band.
He says that when the band reunited in the 90s their catalogue of "great songs" carried them forward.
